Data Deletion Instructions for DriveLess

ℹ️ Note: You have full control over your data in DriveLess. You can delete specific data types or all your data at once.

Types of Data You Can Delete

Data Type	Where It's Stored	How to Delete
Route History	Your device + Cloud	Settings → Data Management → Clear Route History
Saved Routes	Cloud	Long-press on route → Delete
Favorite Locations	Cloud	Settings → Saved Addresses → Delete individual addresses
Account Data	Cloud	See Account Deletion
Local Cache	Your device	Settings → Data Management → Clear Cache

Delete Specific Data Types

1. Clear Route History

Step 1: Open the DriveLess app

Step 2: Go to Settings

Step 3: Tap "Data Management"

Step 4: Tap "Clear Route History"

Step 5: Confirm deletion

2. Delete Individual Saved Routes

Step 1: Go to "Saved Routes" or "Favorites"

Step 2: Long-press on the route you want to delete

Step 3: Tap "Delete" from the menu

Step 4: Confirm deletion

3. Delete Saved Addresses

Step 1: Go to Settings → Saved Addresses

Step 2: Tap the address you want to delete

Step 3: Tap "Delete Address"

Step 4: Confirm deletion

4. Clear All Local Data

Step 1: Go to Settings → Data Management

Step 2: Tap "Clear All Local Data"

Step 3: Review what will be deleted

Step 4: Tap "Clear Data" and confirm

Delete ALL Your Data

If you want to delete all your data including your account:

Follow the instructions on the Account Deletion page
This will delete all cloud-stored data
Then uninstall the app to remove local data

Request Data Deletion via Email

If you're unable to delete data through the app, you can request data deletion:

Email: support@driveless.app
Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
Specify which data you want deleted
Include your account email
We'll process your request within 7 business days

Data Deletion Timeline

Immediate: Data deleted from active systems
Within 24 hours: Data removed from backup systems
Within 30 days: Data purged from all systems including archives
Anonymized analytics: May be retained up to 90 days for product improvement

What Happens After Deletion

Once data is deleted:

It cannot be recovered
You'll need to re-enter any information if you continue using the app
Your usage quotas and limits may reset
Any in-app purchases remain tied to your account (if applicable)

Third-Party Data

DriveLess uses Google Maps for route calculation. Location data sent to Google Maps is:

Used only for immediate route calculation
Not permanently stored by DriveLess
Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
